Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction device of a transfer cylinder in a printer, which is designed so that a sheet can be certainly made tense along the outer periphery of the transfer cylinder.
SOLUTION: A gear shaft 11 is inserted into windows 4 of a plurality of segments 3 which constitute the transfer cylinder 1 and both end parts of the gear shaft 11 are supported, in a freely rotating manner, by a pair of bearing blocks 12 provided on both end sides of the transfer cylinder 1. Further, a suction nozzle 15 arranged between the segments 3 is supported by a stay 13 set across the paired bearing blocks 12. In addition, a cam lever 18 which rocks by a pinion 17 coming into contact with a fixed cam, is fitted to the gear shaft 11, and a plurality of rollers 22 are fitted to the bearing block 12. A sector gear 21 with which the pinion 17 is engaged and a roller guide 23 which guides the rollers 22 to be transferred, are installed on the outer end side of the transfer cylinder 1. After these procedural steps, the center of a pitch circle of the sector gear 21 and the center of a curvature of the roller guide face 23a of the roller guide 23 are made to coincide with the center of the transfer cylinder 1. Thus the suction nozzle 15 which sucks the back end part of a sheet is arranged so that the nozzle 15 moves in the circumferential direction, pivoting in the center of the shaft of the transfer cylinder 1 by the rotation of the pinion 17 due to the rocking motion of the cam lever 18.
