PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus for transferring a traveling ribbon from a first drying cylinder to a second drying cylinder without using a suction device.

CONSTITUTION: A porous first endless supporting belt 11 is traveled together with a ribbon 9 from a first cylinder 7 outside a supporting belt loop to a first guide roll 13 inside the supporting belt loop. A porous second endless supporting belt 12 is traveled through a second guide roll 14 inside an endless supporting belt loop, forms a hanging zone U on the second guide roll and then is traveled to a second drying cylinder 8. An air guide box 16 for introducing air through the first supporting belt so as to surely transfer the ribbon 9 from the first supporting belt 11 to the second supporting belt 12 is installed in a traveling path of the first supporting belt 11 to the first guide roll 13.
