Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a suction mechanism of a suction running device which presents lesser sliding resistance with the wall surface, is embodied light and simple, and allows setting off a payload large.
CONSTITUTION: The body 1 of the device concerned is fitted with runner wheels 4 for running on a wall surface W, and a frame-shaped skirt member 6 having a hollow section formed from a cloth-form material in such a way as going around the periphery of the body 1 is attached to the wall surface side of the body 1, wherein the skirt member 6 is given such a height as contacting the wall surface. An air exhaust hole 9 is furnished on the inside of the body surrounded by the skirt member 6 and is equipped with an exhaust blower 10, and a suction chamber 11 is formed inside of the body. An opening 13 to introduce the outside air to inside of the skirt member 6 is opened at the periphery of the body, and a bone member 14 to restrict deformation of the skirt member 6 is provided alongside it 6 in a position nearer the wall surface.
