Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent increase in temperature of refrigerant gas and simplify a producing step, by making a wall of a noise eliminating box of a suction muffler for a closed compressor in a double-layered structure consisting of a metallic sound-insulating layer and a heat-insulating layer made of a heat insulator. CONSTITUTION:There is provided a noise eliminating box 1 of a suction muffler between a valve cover 3 mounted to a cylinder 2 of a closed compressor and a suction pipe 4. A wall 5 of the noise eliminating box 1 is constituted of an outside sound-insulating layer 6 made of metallic materials and an inside heat-insulating layer 7 made of synthetic resin material, etc. With this arrangement, a refrigerant gas to be sucked through the suction pipe is not heated to maintain temperature of the refrigerant gas constant, and the wall 5 may be fixed to the cylinder 2 by welding, etc.
