Title:
SUCTION NOZZLE AND VACUUM CLEANER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3542286
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction nozzle capable of reducing the rate at which dust or the like on a surface to be cleaned is blown away when it moves into and out of contact with the surface to be cleaned, regardless of steps or projections on the surface to be cleaned.
SOLUTION: A suction nozzle 13, which an air circulation type vacuum cleaner includes, includes a suction nozzle main part 102, circulation blowout port a 103, and a blowout control element (dust-sucking force control means) 104. The blowout port 103 is provided on one side of a intake port 129 formed in the main part 102 and air is forced out from the port to the intake port side to produce a dust-sucking force. The control element 104 moves between a first control position and a second control position as its brush bristles 143 move into or out of contact with a floor face, and produces the dust-sucking force at the intake port at the first control position and reduces the dust-sucking force at the second control position. If steps or projections, etc., on the floor face come into contact with some of the brush bristles 143 having flexibility, only those brush bristles are flexibly deformed to escape from the steps, etc., thus preventing the control element from moving to the first control position.
