To form a suction pipe strainer for a hydrant port to be equipped in a pump vehicle in such a manner as to quickly and easily respond to the use of natural water of a river and a pond and appropriately take measures at a fire site without a moment's delay.

A plurality of skeleton materials having a prescribed-length parabola shape using an outer circumference of a hydrant fitting of the pump vehicle as a symmetry axis are integrally attached and fixed to the outer circumference so as to openingly/closingly fan approximately 180 in the front/rear sides of the hydrant fitting. The respective adjoining leg parts of the plurality of skeleton materials are crossingly and rotationally attached to an annular material fixed to the outer circumference of the hydrant fitting and, when the plurality of skeleton materials openingly fans to the front side of the hydrant fitting, their outer circumferential faces are covered with a net body as necessary. In this case, the net body is laid in the rear side of the hydrant fitting in a bellows shape and, when the plurality of skeleton materials openingly/closingly fan to the front, is pulled out frontward to cover their outer circumferences and close the opening.
