Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sand pump with enhanced suction ability with while preventing generation of cavitation even with a small diameter.
SOLUTION: Generation of cavitation is prevented by enhancing the suction ability by providing a sludge impeller 13 inside a pump casing and a suction impeller inside a suction casing adjacent to the pump casing, and forming a bleed water hole 25 for leading a portion of the sludge to a rear side shroud 18 of the sludge impeller to the suction casing side. The bleed water hole 25 is formed in an elongated shape along a plurality of vanes on the sludge water passage side so that clogging does not occur even when the diameters of sand and gravel in the sludge water is large.
