Abstract:
To provided a sugar-binding type spiro crown ether derivative in which the cyclic carbon atom of a crown ether contains an anomer carbon atom of a hemiketal structure, and a sugar molecule and the crown ether form a spiro structure and a method for producing the same.
The sugar-binding type spiro crown ether derivative can be produced by using 2,3,4,6-tetra-O-benzyl-1-C-vinyl-α-D-glucopyranose, an ethylene glycol derivative in which one hydroxyl group is protected with a benzoyl group, and bismuth (III) triflate or trifluoromethanesulfonic acid as an activator.
