Abstract:

To absorb and remove sulfide gas and carbon dioxide gas directly at a high temperature highly efficiently with a low energy consumption by a method wherein one or more sulfide gas to be selected from hydrogen sulfide gas, carbonyl sulfide gas, and sulfurous acid gas, and carbon dioxide gas are simultaneously absorbed.

An oxide containing one or more kinds to be selected from zirconium, iron, nickel, titanium, and aluminum, and lithium carbonate are reacted with each other in the air to generate a lithiated oxide, and it is put into a mold, and molded by compression to prepare a porous body structured carbon dioxide gas absorbing material. The absorbing material absorbs simultaneously at a small energy consumption at high temperature one or more sulfide gas to be selected from hydrogen sulfide gas, carbonyl sulfide gas, and sulfurous acid gas, and carbon dioxide gas. A gas containing the sulfide gas and the carbon dioxide gas is a gas generated in an engine, and a power plant and chemical plant, etc. The sulfide gas in a process gas can be recovered by separation simultaneously with the carbon dioxide gas at a low energy consumption and high efficiency.
