Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a sulfur-containing aromatic resin composition having excellent dispersibility and extremely improved impact resistance by blending a sulfur-containing aromatic resin with an elastomer modified with a specific modifier. CONSTITUTION:A sulfur-containing aromatic resin composition which comprises (A) 60-98 pts.wt. sulfur-containing aromatic resin (e.g., polysulfone, polyphenylene sulfide or polyether sulfone) and (B) 40-2 pts.wt., preferably 30-5 pts.wt. modified elastomer obtained by modifying B1: 100 pts.wt. elastomer (preferably elastomer of ethylene/propylene/diene base or hydrogenated styrene/butadiene elastomer having excellent heat resistance) with B2: 0.01-5 pts.wt., preferably 0.1-3 pts.wt. N-phenyl-N'-(3-methacryloyloxy-2-hydroxypropyl)-p-phenylenediamine and, for example, is obtained by blending the components A, B1, B2 and a peroxide in a dry state and kneading in a molten state.
