PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sulky planting machine so designed as to be equipped with a manually operable forced lift operation device and a specific operative means as well to facilitate operation such as ascending driving of the planting device and also operation of a marker. SOLUTION: This sulky planting machine is such one as to be equipped with a mechanism 4 for ascendingly/descendingly driving a planting device 3 mounted on the traveling machine body 1, a planting clutch for transmitting mechanical power to the planting device 3, and a marker 15 operable to housed posture and acting posture for marking on the field surface as the traveling machine body advances, and as to work in such a manner that the planting device 3 is ascendingly driven to a predetermined height or descendingly driven by the mechanism 4; furthermore, this sulky planting machine has a manually operable forced lift operation device and an operative means 17 allowing the marker 15 to operate to an acting posture and operating so as to turn the planting clutch on.
