This sulky rice transplanter which has a four-row type planting portion 3 having fertilizer applicators 8 disposed thereon, a field surface unevenness-sensing center float 14 disposed at the lateral central bottom position of the planting portion 3, and side floats 13 used for leveling the field at planting positions and leveling wheel traces and disposed on both the right and left sides of the center float 14 is characterized in that the side floats act as field-leveling floats having the fertilizer applicators, and the center float 14 acts as an exclusively sensing float not having a fertilizer applicator and is disposed in such a shape that the frond end of the center float 14 does not project forward from the front ends of the side floats 13 and the rear end does not project rearward from the rear ends of the side floats 13.
