Abstract:

To provide a sun visor for an automobile capable of shading glare such as sun shine even when the irradiation height of the sun shine or the like is low in an early morning or in an evening.

The sun visor comprises a support shaft 2 mounted on a ceiling in an automobile cabin, a sun visor body 3 which is turnably supported by the support shaft 2, a storage space 3a formed from a lower end to an upper end in the sun visor body 3, one and the other guide members 4, 4 arranged on right and left sides in the storage space 3a with guide grooves 4a, 4a being formed in there faces opposing to each other, an auxiliary sun visor 6 which is inserted in the storage space 3a and formed of a transparent material having beam attenuation or polarization, and a shaft body 5 which is fixed to an upper end of the auxiliary sun visor 6 and with right and left ends thereof being inserted in the guide grooves 4a, 4a, and glare caused by the sun shine or the like is eliminated.
