Title:
SUNBURN WARNING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5524665
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent excessive sunburn in advanve by combining an optical beam detecting element, a signal processing circuit having a function to sum the optical beam radiation, and a warning element.

CONSTITUTION: With a solar cell 1 acting as an optical beam detecting element, there are connected an electrochemical element 2 acting as an optical beam radiation summing unit, a transistor 3, and an electrochromic display element 4 acting as a warning element througg resistors R1 and R2. Thus, when the solar cell 1 receives an optical beam, the output is fed to the electrochemical element 2 so that this element 2 gradually raises its potential in accordance with the current flowing therethrough. At a certain point, the transistor 3 is rendered conductive so that the electrochromic element 4 exhibits a color to warn that the summed quantity of the ultraviolet beam radiation exceeds a limit. If a photodiode having a sensitivity in the ultraviolet range of 2900 to 3200 is used as a beam detecting element, a Dornor ultraraviolet beam can be directly monitored in an ideal manner.
