Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a super heat-resistant endoglucanase showing carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) hydrolysis activity under conditions of at least 90°C, pH 5.5, a polynucleotide encoding the super heat-resistant endoglucanase, an expression vector for expressing the super heat-resistant endoglucanase, a transformant having the expression vector incorporated therein, and a method for producing a lignocellulose degradation product using the super heat-resistant endoglucanase.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a super-heat resistant endoglucanase having the above functions. The super-heat resistant endoglucanase is a polypeptide consisting of a specific amino acid sequence, a polypeptide in which one or several amino acids of a specific amino acid sequence are deleted, substituted, or added, or a polypeptide consisting of an amino acid sequence having 80% or greater sequence identity with a specific amino acid sequence; and having an endoglucanase catalytic domain.SELECTED DRAWING: None
