Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve combustion and fuel consumption during a cold time by controlling an intake air temperature in response to the warming condition of an engine during the cold time, in the supercharging controller of a mechanical supercharger.
CONSTITUTION: There are provided a supercharger 5 and a bypass passage 7 which bypasses the supercharger located downstream from a throttle valve 3 in the intake system 2 of an engine 1. A compression ratio of the supercharger 5 is varied by varying the opening of a bypass control valve 9 in response to an engine cooling water temperature, so as to adjust an intake air temperature.
