Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an internal combustion engine with a supercharger which can be shifted from open control to feed back control and vice versa without the occurrence of shock such as vibration, sound and the like even if intake air is awfully changed in temperature.
CONSTITUTION: A device is equipped with a supercharger 3, a supercharging pressure regulating valve 5 regulating supercharging pressure, a step motor 6 driving the regulating valve, and with an ECU 7 controlling the motor. When supercharging pressure attains a target supercharging pressure, the ECU 7 allows the device to be shifted to feed back control controlling the opening of the supercharging pressure regulating valve 5 in such a way that supercharging pressure shall be a target supercharging pressure, and concurrently allows the device to be shafted to open control controlling the opening of the supercharging pressure regulating valve 5 during feed back control becomes smaller than that of the valve corresponding to operating conditions at the time.
