Abstract:

To surely suppress generation of overshoot by feed back control when actual supercharging pressure gets lower than target supercharging pressure due to delay of supercharging in transition condition.

An engine ECU 41 performs feed back control of nozzle opening of a nozzle vane 23 through a variable nozzle mechanism 19 to make actual supercharging pressure by a variable nozzle turbocharger 15 close to a target supercharging pressure according to an operation state of an engine 11. Also, the engine ECU 41 determines transition condition in relation to supercharging pressure based on at least change style of difference between the target supercharging pressure and the actual supercharging pressure. In detail, it determines whether a change rate of change amount of difference per unit time is in a predetermined range or not. If the change rate is out of the range and it determines that supercharging pressure is in transient state, the engine ECU 41 prohibits feedback control and suppress increase of feed back element to suppress feedback control.
