Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfy an acceleration request by starting supercharging operation of a supercharger and supercharging operation of an electric supercharger at the same time, while suppressing the occurrence of surge in the supercharger when there is the acceleration request.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine supercharging system includes a supercharger 4 having a turbine 4b including a turbine wheel arranged in an exhaust passage 2 and a compressor 4a including a compressor impeller arranged in an intake passage 3, the turbine wheel and the compressor impeller being connected via a rotary shaft 4c, an intake passage 3' arranged in parallel to a portion of the intake passage 3 where the compressor 4a is arranged, and an electric supercharger 5 arranged in the intake passage 3'. Herein, a bypass passage 6 is provided for communicating a position of the exhaust passage 2 upstream of the turbine 4b with a position of the intake passage 3' downstream of the electric supercharger 5. A bypass valve 7 is arranged in the bypass passage 6. The bypass valve 7 is opened when a supercharging pressure at the time of the acceleration request is a predetermined value or lower.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
