Abstract:

To provide a superconducting cable manufacturing method capable of reducing friction resistance when an internal member is drawn into an external member.

A superconducting cable comprises a tubular external member 20, and an internal member 10 housed in an internal space of the external member 20. By drawing the internal member 10 into the external member 20, the internal member 10 is arranged in the external member 20, so as to manufacture the superconducting cable. This manufacturing method includes the steps of: locating the external member 20 on a vibration base 30; mounting a drawing wire 40 inserted in the external member 20 to one end of the internal member 10; and drawing the internal member 10 into the external member 20 while giving vibration by the vibration base 30 under a condition that tension in a direction for drawing the internal member 10 into the external member 20 is applied to the wire 40.
