Abstract:
Provided is a superconducting coil in which the occurrence of quenching is suppressed by reducing shearing stress during cooling. The superconducting coil has a wound wire portion in which a superconducting wire is wound around a winding frame over a plurality of columns and a plurality of layers. A reinforcing material is disposed between the layers of the superconducting wire in the wound wire portion. The superconducting wire and the reinforcing material are integrated by a resin. Cavity portions are provided at adjacent corner portions of the superconducting wire.
