Abstract:
To provide a superconducting coil in which the bending radius of a wire rod at a mouth portion of the superconducting coil is smaller than the bending radius in a coil portion of the superconducting coil without drastically reducing a critical current value or a critical current density, and an MRI apparatus including the same.SOLUTION: In a superconducting coil 100 of the present invention around which a superconducting wire 1 in which a plurality of superconducting filaments 2 are arranged is wound, bending reinforcement member (10, 12) having a thickness t in the bending direction determined by the compressive strain and tensile strain of a predetermined superconducting filament and a placement distance (placement radius r) of the superconducting filament from a bending neutral line of the superconducting wire are bonded to a bent portion of the superconducting wire in a mouth portion 30 of the superconducting coil.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
