To provide a superconducting coil unit and a superconducting apparatus that reduce loss.
A superconducting coil unit 10 includes: inner circumferential coil elements 12a, 12b as a coil body part comprising a superconducting wire rod 15 wound up; and a first magnetic element 13 as a magnetic circuit member. The magnetic circuit member is arranged so as to be opposite to a surface (an upper surface of the inner circumferential coil element 12a) positioned on an end face side crossing a main surface of the superconducting wire rod 15 in the coil body part (the inner circumferential coil elements 12a, 12b), and comprises a magnetic substance. The magnetic circuit member (the first magnetic element 13) includes an opposite surface opposite to the surface of the coil body part (the inner circumferential coil elements 12a, 12b). In the magnetic circuit member (the first magnetic element 13), end portions of the opposing surface project beyond the surface (the surface opposite to the first magnetic element 13) of the coil body part (the inner circumferential coil elements 12a, 12b) to constitute projecting portions.
