Title:
SUPERCONDUCTING ANALOG/DIGITAL CONVERTER WITH SQUID QUANTIZER IN WHICH TOGGLING IS PERFORMED BETWEEN BINARY COUNTERS AND WITH VARIABLE HYSTERESIS SQUID
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH07170187
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To read a counter without missing the change of an analog signal by using a variable hysteresis quantizer, and suppressing the generation of a voltage pulse in a reading period. CONSTITUTION: In a variable hysteresis quantizer 130, one terminal of each Josephson junction 40 and 42 is connected with the different terminals of an inductance 132, and the other terminal is ground connected. Constant gate currents on a line 46 are modulated by a modulator 134, and the modulated gate currents are injected into the sensor tap terminal of the inductance 132. An analog signal on a line 38 is transformer connected through a coil 48 with the inductance 132. This variable hysteresis quantizer 130 is used as a means for reading the content of a bi-directional binary counter so that the generation of a voltage pulse in a reading period can be suppressed, and change in the analog signal can be read by a counter without being missed.
