PURPOSE: To quickly recover a superconducting cooling medium when a rotating body trips by providing a vacuum recovering device which is maintained in a vacuum state and recovers the cooling medium remaining in superconducting equipment when the equipment becomes abnormal.
CONSTITUTION: This superconducting cooling medium supplying and recovering system is provided with a cooling medium supplying device 2 which supplies a superconducting cooling medium, namely, Li-He to the superconducting rotating body 1 through a valve 3 and a cooling medium recovering device 4 which recovers the gaseous He which is produced when the Li-He is gasified by the rotating body 1 through a valve 5. The recovering device 4 performs such a regenerating process as the liquefaction of the gaseous He, etc. A vacuum recovering device 8 is coupled with the rotating body 1 through a valve 10 and set to a vacuum state by means of a vacuum pump 9. When the rotating body 1 trips, the valves 3 and 5 are closed and the valve 10 is opened. In other words, the supply of the Li-He is stopped and, at the same time, the Li-He is recovered from the rotating body 1 by means of the vacuum recovering device 8.
