Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain superconducting wiring which has high reliability even when the wiring is highly integrated by forming the second wiring pattern composed of normal conductors which are electrically connected in parallel with each other at a prescribed interval from the first wiring pattern formed of a superconducting thin film on the surface of a substrate. CONSTITUTION:A Josephson element 2 composed of YBa2Cu3O7-delta and superconducting wiring pattern 3 composed of a YBa2Cu3O7-delta connected to the element 2 are formed on a single-crystal substrate 1. Then a normal conductor wiring pattern 4 which is connected in parallel with the pattern 3, formed so that the pattern 4 can run in parallel with the pattern 3 at an interval of about 0.5mum, and composed of a copper thin film is formed. Therefore, even when the superconducting state is destroyed at part of the wiring 3 and a resistance is generated, the normal conductor thin film works as a current by-pass. In addition, when the resistance generating section of the wiring 3 is restored to the superconducting state, an electric current flows to the wiring 3 and no disconnection is produced.
