Title:
SUPERCONDUCTING MAGNET DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3889574
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconducting magnet device that has high stability and can be manufactured inexpensively.
SOLUTION: This superconducting magnet device 1 is provided with cylindrical main superconducting coils 3 and 4 which are connected to a main exciting power source 2 and generate a main magnetic field in a sample space, a thermal persistent current switch 5 which constitutes a closed circuit by short-circuiting the coils 3 and 4 to each other, and an auxiliary exciting power source 6 provided electrically independently from the power source 2. The device 1 is also provided with a cylindrical auxiliary coil 7 which generates an auxiliary magnetic field in the same direction as that of the main magnetic field in the sample space and is arranged coaxially with the main superconducting coils 3, and 4 and a current adjusting means 8 which changes the current supplied from the power source 6 to the auxiliary coil 7 at a prescribed rate.
