Abstract:
To provide a superconducting magnet device which suppresses a temperature rise of a superconducting coil during permanent current switch (PCS) control so as to shorten the re-cooling time, without using a refrigerator having high refrigerating capacity.SOLUTION: A superconducting magnet device 20 comprises: a superconducting coil 5 housed in a heat-insulating vacuum vessel 2; and a permanent current switch 10 which is thermally connected to the superconducting coil 5 and is made of a high-temperature superconductor. The permanent current switch 10 is cooled by a cooler 1 directly or via the superconducting coil 5. The permanent current switch 10 is provided with heating means 11 for raising the temperature. The superconducting coil 5 and the permanent current switch 10 are connected to each other by permanent current switch cooling plates 12. The permanent current switch cooling plates 12 are characterized in that a permanent current switch cooling plate 13 on the superconducting coil side has a larger cross section of a heat transfer path than that of a permanent current switch cooling plate 14 on the permanent current switch side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
