Title:
SUPERCONDUCTING MAGNETIC BEARING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3358362
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent a permanent magnet from being broken by the large centrifugal force generated at the time of high-speed revolutions by providing a holding ring covering the outer peripheries of multiple segments formed into a circular arc shape respectively and combined into a circular ring shape when they are butted and a pressing ring pressing the outer periphery of the holding ring toward the inside of the diameter direction.
CONSTITUTION: When the end faces in the inner peripheral direction of multiple segments 16, 16 formed into a circular arc shape respectively and having the same shape and the same size are butted together, the whole permanent magnet 15 is formed into a circular ring shape. The segments 16, 16 are held inside a protective ring 17 made of a nonmagnetic material. The whole protective ring 17 is formed into a circular ring shape. The outer peripheries of the segments 16, 16 are covered by part of the holding ring 17 over the whole periphery. Even if large centrifugal force is applied to the permanent magnet 15 at the time of usage, the segments 16, 16 are not separated from each other. Since the outer periphery of the holding ring 17 is covered by a pressing ring 18 made of a high-tensile strength material, the outer periphery of the holding ring 17 is pressed toward the inside of the diameter direction.
