Title:
SUPERCONDUCTING MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH09263407
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a superconducting material not requiring cooling with liq. helium and having a high critical temp. by adopting a compsn. consisting of oxides of specified elements.

This superconducting material is represented by the formula RE2-xAExTMO4-y (where RE is one or more kinds of rare earth elements, preferably La, AE is one or more kinds of alkaline earth elements, preferably Sr, Ca or Ba, TM is a transition metal, preferably Cu, x<0.3 and y<0.5). It has a practically laminar perovskite type crystal structure, is based on copper oxide having a simple crystallographic phase and has ≥26K superconduction onset temp. at which electric resistance begins to lower and a crossover temp. below the superconduction onset temp. At the crossover temp., transition from a paramagnetic state to a diamagnetic state takes place.
