Title:
SUPERCONDUCTING MOTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01117647
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a compact cooling system, by employing a superconducting coil having critical temperature close to normal temperature thereby enabling cooling through a Peltier element.

CONSTITUTION: A superconducting coil 102 is wound around a yoke frame 101 and secured, while a permanent magnet 103 is secured to a rotor 108. A Peltier element 104 is fixed around the yoke frame 101 in order to cool the superconducting coil 102. Furthermore, a water jacket 105 is arranged around the Peltier element 104 in order to absorb heat discharged from the Peltier element. The superconducting coil is made of superconductor shown by general formula of A1-x-yBaxMyCuO3-δ (Where, A is one or plural elements selected from a group of Sc, Y, La, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Dy, Ho, Er, Yb, Lu, and M is Ti, Zr, Hf or a, combination thereof.), where 0.3≤x≤0.8, 0.05≤y≤0.4.
