Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a superconducting perforated plate highly durable to thermal cycle test and having excellent magnetic field generating capability and magnetic shielding performance.
CONSTITUTION: The objective superconducting perforated plate useful for the generation or the shielding of magnetic field is produced by forming a plate with a single crystal oxide superconducting material 11 in a form having plural holes 12. The superconducting plate may be produced by bonding plural single crystal oxide superconducting elements in a state of aligned crystal direction. The single crystal oxide superconducting material 11 is preferably REBa2Cu3O7-y composed of RE(rare earth elements including Y or their combination), Ba, Cu and O and containing finely dispersed RE2BaCUO5. The perforated plate is resistant to thermal cycle test compared with conventional superconducting plate consisting of a polycrystalline material such as sintered compact and has excellent magnetic field generating capability and magnetic shielding performance.
