To provide a superconducting rotary machine capable of achieving a high output density with a high current density and a high flux density by solving conventional problems.SOLUTION: A superconducting rotary machine 100 includes: a field coil 10; and an armature coil 20 arranged around the field coil 10. The field coil 10 includes: a plurality of superconducting coils 11; a permanent current switch 12 connected with the plurality of superconducting coils 11; and a receiving terminal 13 connected with the plurality of superconducting coils 11 and capable of connection and disconnection with/from a DC power supply DC.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
