Title:
SUPERCONDUCTING ROTATING MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS63140660
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable long-term operation of a helium liquefier by providing a central part of rotation of rotor with a refrigerant supply and exhaust means and by forming said means from a condensation heat exchanger.

CONSTITUTION: A central part of rotation of rotor is provided with a refrigerant supply and exhaust means, which is formed of a condensation heat exchanger 38 connected with a helium liquefier 11 via supply and exhaust transfer tubes 37a∼37b. For this purpose, a removable flange 35 is provided with the condensation heat exchanger 38, of which condenser 38a is firmly supported by a supporting stand 40 via a supporting pipe 39 so as to be positioned in the central part of rotation of rotor. Thus, a liquid helium liquefied by the helium liquefier 11 is supplied to the condensation heat exchanger 38 within the rotor through an adiabatic supply transfer tube 37a to cool the external surface of said condenser 38a. If field coils 4∼5 are excited in this state, said rotor is operated as a superconducting rotor for superconducting generator.
