To provide a super conductive cable having a multicore structure in which a space for absorbing heat contraction of the cable core occurring at cooling is formed easily and at low cost, and tension to the cable core can be made at the time of conduit line installation or the like.
The superconductive cable 11 comprises a superconductive layer 18 and has a plurality of fan-shaped cable cores 15. These plural fan- shaped cable cores 15 are stranded forcedly with each top of the fan-shape arranged in the center, and are arranged in the heat insulating tube 14 in this state. A space X for absorbing heat contraction is provided in the center of the plural fan-shaped cable cores 15 due to the loosening phenomenon (strand loosening) of the forced stranding, thereby the heat contraction (arrow mark B) of the cable cores 15 at the cooling is absorbed by this space X. The plural fan-shaped cable cores 15 are maintained in the state of close contact with the inner circumference of the heat insulating tube 14 in the normal temperature.
