Abstract:
PURPOSE: To increase the critical temp. and critical current density of superconductive ceramics contg. copper oxide by providing a prescribed compsn. contg. a mixture of rare earth elements including Sc and/or Y.
CONSTITUTION: The compsn. of this superconductive material is practically represented by the formula, wherein Z is a mixture of 80W97atom.% Y with 3W20atom.% Sc, a mixture of 94W99atom.% Yb with 1W6atom.% Sc, a mixture (Z') of 50W85atom.% Yb with 15W50atom.% Y, or a mixture obtd. by adding Sc to Z' by 0.2W2% of the number of atoms. of Z'.
