Title:
SUPERCONDUCTIVE MOTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH08242574
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a superconductive motor in which the non-operation state can be prevented even if unexpected quench occurs, while preventing the occurrence of quench.

CONSTITUTION: In a superconductive motor, a superconductor 1 with a pinning effect is previously excited at a temperature below a critical temperature through a solenoid coil or a permanent magnetic coil. The superconductor 1 is stored in a cooling container 3, and the superconductor 1 is used as a field system body. Since the trouble of quench is hardly caused in the superconductor 1 with the pinning effect, the non-operation state can be prevented. In addition, the quench is prevented when a superconductive coil made of superconductive wiring material (for example, NbTi) is used as a field coil, and the superconductor with pinning effect is used as a commutating pole for canceling magnetomotive force of an armature.
