Title:
SUPERCONDUCTIVE ROTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6477463
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the leakage of flux in a rotor, increase the effective flux in interlinkage with armature coils and obtain an efficient superconductive rotary electric machine, by providing magnetism shielding plates, consisting of a superconductive body, between poles of the rotor.

CONSTITUTION: A field coil 2 is fixed to a field coil mounting shaft 3 and is cooled by liquid helium 4. A radiation heat shield 7, for reducing heat invaded by radiation, is arranged in a vacuum heat insulating layer 6. Magnetism shielding plates 1, consisting of a ceramics superconductive material of YBaCuO series, for example, are provided between poles from a liquid helium vessel 5 toward the outside of a case radially to the outer periphery of the radiation heat shield 7. Leakage flux can not penetrate radially through the vacuum heat insulating layer 6 and the radiation heat shield 7 by the Meissner effect of the magnetism shielding plates 1 thereby passing through magnetic passage outside of a rotor. Accordingly, effective flux, arriving at the armature coil, is increased.
