Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconducting cable laying device capable of almost surely returning a cable to an original position when the cable is raised in temperature by maintenance or the like without enlarging a facility and making a terminal larger, and capable of avoiding the superconducting cable from being locally damaged.SOLUTION: Disclosed is a device for laying a superconducting cable 1, which includes a cable conductor, and a coolant passage for cooling the cable conductor, and which are thermally expanded and contracted under the heat cycle from ordinary temperature to a very low temperature. The superconducting cable 1 has an off-set part 20 which absorbs thermal expansion and contraction. The off-set part 20 includes slide parts 101 to 103 which control behavior of thermal expansion and contraction of the superconducting cable 1 during cooling and raising the temperature by grasping the superconducting cable 1 and guiding it on a rail 60.
