Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconducting rotating machine capable of appropriately preventing the leakage of a refrigerant.SOLUTION: A superconducting rotating machine 100 comprises: an inner case 30 that forms a storage chamber 31 storing a refrigerant for cooling a stator coil 11 supported by a stator 10 and a superconductive material included by a rotor 20; an outer case 40 that insulates the inner case 30 under vacuum; a first rotor shaft 21 consisting of a non-magnetic body rotating integrally with the rotor 20; a second rotor shaft 22 including a ferromagnetic material rotating integrally with the first rotor shaft 21; a bearing 50 for supporting the second rotor shaft 22 so as to rotate relative to the outer case 40; a couple of annular permanent magnets 60 disposed in an annular space 75 between the outer peripheral surface of the second rotor shaft 22 and the inner peripheral surface of a bearing support 46 of the outer case 40 supporting the bearing 50; and a magnetic fluid 80 filled between the inner peripheral surface of the couple of permanent magnets 60 and the outer peripheral surface of the second rotor shaft 22.
