Abstract:
To provide a superconductor magnetization method that can expand an axially uniform region of a captured magnetic field in a bore of a superconductor.SOLUTION: A superconductor magnetization method includes a magnetic field application step of applying a magnetic field along the axial direction of a hollow cylindrical superconductor to the superconductor and the bore of the superconductor at a temperature higher than the superconducting transition temperature of the superconductor, a magnetic field cooling step of cooling the superconductor to which the magnetic field is applied at or below the superconducting transition temperature, and a magnetizing step of magnetizing the superconductor by removing the magnetic field applied in the magnetic field application step while maintaining the superconductor at the temperature equal to or lower than the superconducting transition temperature, and in the magnetic field application step, the magnetic field is applied such that the magnetic field strength at an intermediate position between the central position and the end position in the axial direction of the superconductor is higher than the magnetic field strength at the central position and maximum.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
