Abstract:
[PROBLEMS] To provide a supercritical water biomass combustion boiler which can directly drive a power generation gas turbine by continuously producing a high-temperature and high-pressure combustion gas using, as a fuel, all types of biomass having a water content up to about 90% regardless of the shape, or can drive the power generation steam turbine by producing supercritical water by heat exchange, and can advantageously simplify the apparatus construction, can recover and effectively utilize waste heat and can realize cost effectiveness as a supercritical water biomass combustion boiler for dispersion-type power plants. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A combustion boiler which uses a supercritical hydration reaction uses organic matter having a high water content such as biomass as a fuel and produces a high-temperature and high-pressure combustion fluid composed mainly of supercritical water. This boiler can continuously produce stable heat output by dividing operation elements, for example, into "closing/pressure rising", "constant pressure/temperature rising", "combustion/temperature rising", "steady combustion", and "discharge/filling" and operating the reactors and, at the same time, can eliminate continuous supply of a solid fuel such as biomass into a high-temperature and high-pressure system and can realize batch supply at easily solid fuel suppliable temperature and pressure.
