Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a supersonic linear motor which has high efficiency and simple structure by forming a conveying member for feeding an article to be conveyed of a wire of amorphous magnetostrictive material. CONSTITUTION:A supersonic linear motor uses a conveying member 10 formed of wires or wire bundles of an amorphous magnetostrictive material instead of a feeding base, and is mechanically supported fixedly at both ends. Further, vibrating coil 11 for generating an AC magnetic field is connected at one end to a vibrating excitation power sources 5. Thus, the member 10 of the magnetostrictive material is directly driven to generate a supersonic vibration. A load vibrator 4 and a load resistor 6 are provided at the other end of the member 10. The member 10 may be one wire of the magnetostrictive material or a wire bundle coupled with a plurality of wires 15.
