A supervisory object area is photographed by an image pickup camera 1, which provides an output of a video signal S1, and a video signal detected by each division area is corrected by an image correction section 6 based on the sensitivity set by a sensitivity setting section 5 and the supervisory object area is supervised based on a corrected image signal S6. Each division area is accurately and surely supervised by supervising the supervisory object area based on a video signal after the correction even when photographing conditions such as lightness and an object depth among division areas differ.
