Abstract:
To provide a supplementary measurement position determination system used together with a robot.SOLUTION: A robot comprises: a movable arm component; and a movement control system which is configured to control an end tool position with robot accuracy (namely on the basis of a sensor included in the robot). A supplementary system includes a plurality of cameras and a plurality of 2D scales, and each of them is coupled to the movable arm component (for example, attached to an arm part and/or a rotary joint). The camera is operated to acquire an image for determining a relative position of a scale. The scale is coupled to the rotary joint (for example, can be used to determine the rotational movement and/or the movement in the vertical direction with respect to the rotational shaft), and/or is coupled to the arm part (for example, can be used to determine the bend or twist of the arm part). The accuracy (for example, for the measuring operation and/or robot control) can be improved by using these pieces of information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
