Abstract:
To stably and efficiently supply a low bulk density object such as plastics, paper, fiber, wood, carbide, shredder dust or inorganic powder.
An object with a bulk density from 0.15 g/cm3 to 0.35 g/cm3 is supplied by a screw feeder having blades with a helix angle from 8° to 19°. The helix angle of the blades of the screw feeder is preferably set from 9° to 15°. Thus, the device has a simple structure, facility cost is relatively low, and waste or the like can be stably and efficiently supplied to a heating furnace or the like using the screw feeder requiring less installation space.
