Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent winding of base paper round a conveyor roller, etc., and sticking thereof to a guide member, etc., and to convey the base paper smoothly and properly by sending the base paper into a clamp means while making it float on a base paper support member by sending air from openings of the base paper support member.
CONSTITUTION: Base paper 1a stored in a base paper roll 1 is conveyed by a platen roller 2 and a thermal head 3 is brought into contact with the platen roller 2 with the base paper 1a interlaid. One end of the base paper 1a is clamped by a clamper 8 disposed on the outer peripheral part of a plate cylinder 9. Moreover, a base paper support member 21 having a plurality of openings 20 is disposed on a base paper conveyance route P between the platen roller 2 and the clamper 8. On the other hand, air is sucked or sent through each of the openings 20 by a device 23 for sucking or sending the air. Between the platen roller 2 and the clamper 8, a heater wire 24 for cutting the base paper 1a is disposed. According to this constitution, the base paper 1a is sent into the clamper 8 smoothly and properly while it is made to float on the base paper support member 21 by the blowing action.
