PURPOSE: To eliminate the need for a holding furnace and to permit the precise control of a pouring rate by supplying a molten metal from a cupola to a pouring furnace provided with a hermetic sealing means to the openable and closable part in the upper part of a molten metal storage chamber of the pouring furnace body and supplying the molten metal from the pouring furnace directly into a mold on a casting line.

CONSTITUTION: The molten metal taken out of the cupola 1 is subjected to slag removal and is then immediately supplied to the large-sized pouring furnace 4 in common use as the conventional holding furnace. The furnace 4 moves on the casting line and the molten metal is poured into the casting mold, etc. by the pressurized pouring. Since the furnace 4 is large-sized, the hermetic sealing means to prevent air leakage is provided thereto in order to precisely controll the pouring rate like a small-sized pouring furnace.
