To provide a support device of a cylindrical member which can adequately weld both end parts of a plate material.
A support device of the cylindrical member 4 supports the cylindrical member 4, which is manufactured by curving the plate material and welding both end parts 1a, 1b, so as to clip from both end part sides by two pressing members 3, 3'. Cutout parts 2 are formed on both end parts of side edges of the plate material 1, and an end part side of the cutout part 2 becomes a cutout part side inclined surface 2a which inclines so as to be closer to the end parts 1a, 1b gradually toward an outside. Projection parts 5 corresponding to the cutout parts 2 are formed on the pressing members 3, 3', and the projection part includes a projection part side inclined surface 5a inclined by corresponding to the cutout part side inclined surface 2a. The plate material 1 is clipped by the pressing members 3, 3'. Force in a clipping direction of the pressing members 3, 3' is converted into force in an approaching direction of both end parts 1a, 1b of the plate material 1 when the projection part side inclined surface 5a abuts on the cutout part side inclined surface 2a.
