Abstract:
To present a detection range of a detection device to an examiner regardless of whether or not an insertion part of an endoscope is inserted into a subject.SOLUTION: A support device 16 includes an acquisition unit 74 and a display control unit 78. When at least one of a position and a shape of an insertion part is detected by a detection device of the support device 16 on the basis of a detection signal indicating a magnetic field detected by a reception coil unit including a plurality of reception coils provided along the insertion part inserted into a subject in an endoscope and a transmission coil unit including a plurality of transmission coils disposed in a housing provided outside the subject, the acquisition unit 74 acquires position information indicating a position of the transmission coil unit. Also, on the basis of the position information acquired by the acquisition unit 74, the display control unit 78 executes control to display a detection range image indicating a detection range in which detection by the detection device is possible on the subject.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
